Conclusion

This class was probably my favorite class of the semester because it was so easy to keep my attenetion and for me to participate in.  I pretty much enjoyed every topic that we discussed throughout this course and really enjoyed having Dr. Spencer as a professor.  I think the biggest thing that I was able to take away from this class was just how much of a difference there is in gender equality in sports compared to the rest of society.  A lot of topics that we discussed, such as how much men make compared to women, were very interesting to me because I never really knew they discrepancy's of things like that before.

The most useful thing that I got out of this class were the journals and blogs.  Doing this was really good at keeping me up to speed with the class and readings, which ultimately led to me having more success in the class.  Out of all of the blogs that I did, the most interesting topic that we covered, I thought, was Blue vs. Brown eyes.  It was amazing to see how well that experiment worked and was really cool to see the impact it had on those children.  Keeping these blogs made me think in a different way because after reading through some of these articles and watching the different videos about the same topic, I was able to see some things and a different perspective and then maybe write from that perspective.

When I look at the presentation that most interested me, it was probably the one on Brittney Griner.  She amazes me because of how good she is and I found all the information that the group provided on her to be very interesting, especially the fact that she has actually recieved interest about playing in the NBA.  Ever since we started talking about her earlier in the semester I have found her to be an interesting topic, so that was definitely my favorite group project.

When I look back on this class, I think that the biggest thing that I will be able to take away and use for my career is that I should always be able to look at things from a different perspective before I make decsions in life.  Learning about things from other points of view and gaining experience through that I think will be very helpful to me.  This class has probably been my favorite class this semester, and the one that I learned and was able to take away the most from.
