I
am a senior here at BGSU and I am from Southfield, Michigan. I am pursuing a
sport management degree. In high school I did not compete in any sports, but I
have played many sports for recreational purposes throughout my life. I have played
soccer, basketball, floor hockey, judo, and karate. In college I am not
currently playing any sport.
The
female athlete I would most like to see compete is Serena Williams. She has
been one of the most dominant forces in tennis for many years and her intensity
and passion for what she does has always appealed to me. I have never played
much tennis myself, but I am always willing to sit down and watch her games on
TV whenever I can. She has helped to popularize the sport and she is fun to
watch.
The male athlete I would most like to see compete is Blake Griffin.
Ever since high school, he has always been known to show a display of
spectacular dunks in the game of basketball. As one of the NBA’s young star
players, he continues to display these incredible dunks over and over again.
Whenever the Los Angeles
Clippers play a game it is almost a guarantee that one
or more of Griffin’s dunks will make it to the highlight reel. He has also been
a key factor in turning the Clippers’ organization around from being a mediocre
franchise to being one of the premier teams to go see.
I do not have any concerns taking this course. Hopefully, I can learn some new and interesting information that will open my eyes even more to the world of sports.

ReplyDeleteI definitely agree with the Male athlete you would most like to see compete when it comes to the game of basketball. Besides my hometown bias of wanting to see the Cavs, Blake Griffin is awesome. I watched that YouTube clip you posted and those dunks were insane, even better because they were over Gasol.
After LeBron left Cleveland I think we had to pick some other superstars to root for that we thought were better than him at the time and how could you not like Blake Griffin, watching him play is too exciting and he has definitely been in the Top 10 plenty of times with dunks like that. He is also the only rookie in the NBA since Allen Iverson to have more than one 40-point game. Also those Kia commercials he does these days are hilarious which makes me like him even more.
